Like the literary awards I posted yesterday, this list is selected by members of YALSA (Young Adult Library Services Association) at the American Library Association Midwinter Conference. The books selected for the list "meet the criteria of both good quality material and reading appeal for teens," and teens were given the opportunity to discuss with the committee what their favorite books of the year were. Here are the top ten:
