What Book Do You Want to Read this Month?

Please send us your suggestions this week. You can leave a comment on this blog post, or, if you prefer, you can email us at teensmain@carnegielibrary.org. We'll post the winner, and that will be the July Book Discussion selection.

Short on ideas? Here are some websites with book lists:

Your very own teen librarians suggest books - http://www.carnegielibrary.org/teens/read/booklists/

Teen librarians from around the country suggest books - http://ala.org/ala/yalsa/booklistsawards/booklistsbook.cfm

Teens suggest books - http://ala.org/ala/yalsa/teenreading/teenstopten/teenstopten.cfm

The July Book Discussion will be held on July 20th, at 3 pm. Can't make the meeting? Please post any comments or ideas about the book on our Facebook group's page: CLP Book Discussion - Teen.

Many thanks to our Teen Advisory Council, who suggested that we use the blog to ask for title suggestions.

Darkly Dreaming Dexter. It won't be everyone's cup of tea, but it's a fantastic book. It's written by Jeff Lindsay, and it was the inspiration for the hit Showtime series Dexter.

I suggest 'Being' or 'Martyn Pig' by Kevin Brooks, or 'Under the wolf, Under the dog' by Adam Rapp!
